2019 Red Door

According to Feng Shui philosophy, a Red Door is a symbol of positive energy, prosperity, and welcome. The purpose of Feng Shui is to achieve harmonic balance, a true reflection of winemaker Alison Doran’s approach in crafting this wine through her careful selection of grape varieties and vineyard sites. Cabernet Sauvignon from our eastern-facing Windy Flats vineyard offers rich elegance and structure, while Merlot from our Beau Terre vineyard rewards us with dark, supple fruit notes and silky smoothness on the palate. Petit Verdot and Malbec play their roles in enhancing depth and complexity to the finish, and the result is true harmonic balance achieved in one of our most cherished wines. The 2019 Red Door has an expansive nose of black licorice, fruity Halawy date, cassis and dark chocolate. The palate rolls smoothly along with plushy blueberry and blackberry flavors, deep ripe texture, and a jammy cherry and mocha finish.
