Hill Family Estate offers two locations for tastings: our tasting room in downtown Yountville, and our estate winery located just south of town in the Yountville appellation.

We invite you to visit our estate winery in the Yountville appellation, surrounded by vineyard and mountain views. Taste through an array of Hill Family Estate wines and learn more about our legacy as farmers in California. Located just minutes from the town of Yountville on Solano Avenue north of Hoffman Lane, our estate is open for wine tastings by advance appointment only.

Our winery building is adorned with a large “H” made of succulents and two one-hundred-year-old olive trees will greet you as you arrive at the entrance to the property. Parking is located on the left-hand side as you drive through the gate.

Join us in downtown Yountville at our tasting room for a seated wine tasting. Explore an array of wines made from grapes that owner Doug Hill has been farming since the 1970s. We accept reservations and walk-ins indoors, as well as outside at our quaint bistro tables located in front of the tasting room on Washington Street. By-the-glass and by-the-bottle options are also available.

The Secret Garden Tour begins with an hour-long exploration of Hill Family Farms, an idyllic 1.3-acre oasis hidden within the little town of Yountville. The verdant plot brims with more than 120 different kinds of fruit trees, including 10 varieties of figs, 10 varieties of pears, 15 varieties of peaches, and dozens of other unusual fruits, plus a wide range of vegetables, herbs and 25 different culinary flowers. The produce from the farm is used exclusively by a few select restaurants, primarily Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry. Following the tour, guests will enjoy a seated wine tasting at the Hill Family Estate tasting room in Yountville after strolling through our garden.
