Hill Winery’s Secret Garden Tour: A Seasonal Farm & Wine Experience
The Hill Family Secret Garden Tour is a one-of-a-kind Napa Valley experience, pairing the beauty of Hill Family Farms’ 1.3-acre oasis with a guided wine tasting. Just five minutes from the Hill Family tasting room in Yountville, this immersive tour invites you to wander among more than 120 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and culinary flowers; sampling fresh surprises like peach leaves and pineapple guava blossoms along the way. Featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table, the garden offers a rare look at the farm-to-table ingredients prized by Michelin-starred restaurants, before the experience wraps with a delightful wine tasting.
The Secret Garden Tour is an exploration of Hill Family Farms, an idyllic oasis hidden in the middle of a residential community, about 5 minutes from the Hill Family tasting room in Yountville. The Secret Garden Tour is offered seasonally by appointment from June through September, Mondays-Saturdays at 10:30am. Pets and children are welcome to join.

Inside the Secret Garden Tour: More Than a Wine Tasting in Napa
The tour begins with an hour-long exploration of Hill Family Farms’ Secret Garden—an idyllic 1.3-acre oasis tucked into Yountville, just five minutes from the Hill Family Estate tasting room downtown. Featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table, this verdant hideaway is home to more than 120 varieties of fruit trees, including 10 types of figs, 10 pears, 15 peaches, and dozens of other unusual fruits, along with an abundant mix of vegetables, herbs, and 25 culinary flowers. Along the way, you’ll sample fresh-picked delights like peach leaves, which release an amaretto-like aroma when crushed.
Guests will also discover pineapple guava blossoms, miniature white strawberries, edible flowers, and an array of fruits and vegetables often not even found in a local farmers market. The produce from the farm is sourced by a few select restaurants in Yountville; most notably, The French Laundry. Enjoy some of the best wine tasting in Napa after your stroll through our garden. If you love food (and wine!) and gardening, this tour will enlighten and delight your appreciation of all three.
