In celebration of the fall equinox, Hill Family Estate has put together a special collection of wines, available for a limited time at a special price. The collection includes three wines from some of the best Napa Valley vineyards that are perfect for pairing with warm, comforting meals as the days grow shorter and the weather turns cool.
This bundle includes two bottles each of the following wines: 2017 Reserve Chardonnay, 2017 Origin Red Blend and the beautifully aged Clarke Vineyard Syrah from the highly celebrated 2007 vintage.
Just 293 cases of the 2017 Reserve Chardonnay were produced. This elegant Chardonnay presents aromas of nectarine, pineapple a hint of vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. The entry develops into flavors of peach jam on buttery pastry supported with a rich midpalate. The finish has a rich balance in the center and finishes with a mature satiny texture.
The Origin is our chance to create a stylish and intriguing red blend from the vineyards that Doug Hill farms in the cooler areas of southern Napa. The 2017 vintage has lovely aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and vanilla. The broad entry has a big mouthful of berry jam, and the palate is full bodied and smooth, expressing the plums and cherry while adding a hint of mocha on the very drinkable finish.
We are thrilled to share the 2007 Clarke Vineyard Syrah in this collection, which has been aging beautifully in the cellar and is now ready for enjoyment. Rich notes of raspberry and dark chocolate surround a lush palate with smooth, integrated tannins. Due to the extremely limited inventory of the Syrah, only 25 bundles are available for purchase.
