After you have had a lovely wine tasting at our Hill Family Estate Yountville Tasting Room, might we suggest enjoying the fun of the season at one of the many offerings Napa Valley has to offer for some holiday cheer?
Santa’s Train
Come on aboard that Napa Valley Wine Train for one of their unique holiday excursions!
There are three options to choose from:
Santa’s Cookie Car, which features a hot cocoa or cider, a freshly baked holiday cookie, and a visit from Santa, this Jolly Journey is all about coziness as you travel through the breathtaking scenery of our valley.
Gourmet Holiday Express, with a kid-friendly three course dinner, cocoa or cider, a digital and printed photo with Santa, and a tableside visit from St. Nick, this combines the holiday experience with a memorable dinner in the antique Pullman dining car as you travel up and back from Napa to St. Helena.
Very Merry Vista Dome. This trip is the same as the Gourmet Holiday Express, but changes the setting to the stunning observation-style dining car, putting the focus on the splendor of the Napa Valley wineries and surrounding landscape.

Wine Barrel Tree in St. Helena.
Viewing lights and other decorations is a must for any holiday merrymaking. What better way to combine this with a commemoration of the great Napa Valley wine we all love so well than to see the wine barrel tree in St. Helena? This 32 foot tall wonder is constructed of wine barrels and can be found at the corner of Hunt and Main St. in historic St. Helena.
Ice Skating at Vista Collina (the Merry Meritage Holiday Ice Rink)
Nothing says winter cheer better than outdoor ice skating. Skating under a 40 foot tall Christmas tree at the Vista Collina Resort might just be the perfect way to end your holiday excursion in the Napa Valley. For those of us who absolutely will not strap a pair of skates on any more (the whole story of “Erik’s Cracked Rib and Other Winter Frolics” can be heard upon request at a tasting at the Hill Family Estate Tasting Room), one can sip cocoa or wine and make s’mores by the fire next to the rink.
